Nuts and bolts

All climbing trips are planned at Petes eats or undertaken from Petes eates.

Breaky

Wish we had read this before we ate this.

Before we lugged ten ton of kit down into dalis hole, oh well.

When we arrived, the whole face had been stripped of hangers. All the bolts and nuts were still present, hopefully one day to have the hangers replaced.

So, kit on shoulders we were back off up the huge climb out to the first level. Next stop little Australia, and hopefully a lot of bolt hangers.

Just up that little hill is climb heaven

Popped into one of the tunnels to see what lay inside.

A mega big drop, but with an amazing view of the waterfall across the void.

Mega scary looking over the edge errrrrrrrrr!!!!

Feeling Rusty 6a+. Dean took first step onto the plate, we pre clipped the first two bolts. The route was certainly testing, so in went a couple more clips. Second run Dean sent the route home, super effort. My turn, scetchy start. Really edgy, and hard sharp crimps all the way up with the odd were the hell now. Second run I sent the route, but not without a lot of Gurrrrring going on and a very hard pull through to the top hanger.

So off to do some more climbing lower down on the next tier. Goose creature 6a (E3) on lead.

This was an absolute superb climb, only made it to the crux about three quarters of the way up. This route is nails, Dean dialled the moves and sent it on the third attempt to the last bolt. Sadly it didn't go any further, his attempt was over with a bloody good effort to go home with. Next time this will go, we were both pretty tired by this time. We had planned to lead looning the tube, but decided best left for another day so as not to spoil the experience.

So it's off home, just remember when you visit these wild places your not the only one living here, apart from the local humans. So, please take care and do as little damage as possible.
