Raising the bar and raising some cash

Taxal edge is a most beautiful place to be, on a morning which gives rain and sunshine at the same time.

What an amazing place for an early morning jog, and just 5 mins away from home. So, getting fit for what. Come the 11th Oct Buxton Mountain Festival will be hosting a drytooling/ice climbing competition in the Devonshire Dome. This will attract some of the best names in ice/drytooling arena in the UK, and I will be entering for a place in the finals. Last year I was able to get to the finals which was amazing.

Receiving a super prize from Kev Shields of Ice Factor Kinlochleven.

In action on the run up to the finals. We completed 15 routes before the main event, from drytooling to ice climbing.

Last year I raised money for Buxton Mountain Rescue team by getting all the top climbers to sign the back of my shirt, then it was auctioned off and the proceeds went to BMRT.

So if there is anyone out there looking to support a good cause (BMRT) send me an email.
