What's with GRIT

Grit stone has a fantastic attraction to it. I popped over to Stanage this afternoon to look at some routes to take groups on.

The first route is the famous (Grotto Slab) super route and exciting to climb, with great views over the North Lees Estate. More interesting facts about North Lees below.

Grotto Slab

Next I wandered off down towards Manchester Buttress. A whole range of climbs hear from VD to Severe, a great day out is on the cards.

Twin Chimneys Buttress provides a super set of triple climbs for the more adventurous in the group, starting with left to right.
Awl HVD
Bean VS
Dun HS

All can be setup on top rope for the less experienced climber.

Easy access between the crag top and the climbs.

Hydration stop

A nice little cave for a sandwich spot.

So all in all a great little excursion.
