Super bit of local stone work left over from days gone by, may be to much kit in the bag as me thinks it's split it.
Gall, gnat, midge. What every you want to call them, they bloody bite and bite hard. Set our sights on Mill Wheel Wall tonight, 5b 3* 12m crimps and heart beety.
The route starts were Dean is standing then trends right after about 6ft. The route then gets pretty serious with some super rock overs on small foot holds and crimps.
You can see why it's called Mill Wheel Wall.
Kit dump.
So this became a pretty fast session, we ran the route on top rope twice with the intention to lead. Dean dialled the moves on the first run, no probs for the lead. I lost my head a bit on the first attempt let myself bring other factors into the climb. Before I new it I was boxed out from crimping down hard on the last few moves. I sent it clean on the next go, got the moves in sink, no issues topped out clean, on top rope of course, still a bold climb top rope or not. You wouldn't want to miss the last few moves as the belay stake is way out to your left, so a nice little swing would be on the cards.
However the midges had other plans, all hell broke loose when Dean attempted Pretzel Logic 6a. So it was kit in the bag and run for it, back to the car at the Fox houses pub.
