Super DRY

Limestone, super dry after a nights rain. Set off to look at Aldery Cliff at Earl Sterndale to see the effects of a good nights rain. The answer was as expected, none. The crag was super dry, the grass around was super wet. So even after a nights rain the crag is good to go. Theses are the benefits of limestone, none porous and drys quick.

Lots to see in and around the crag faces.

Take time to look around and enjoy the environment, but most of all leave it as you find it.

High Wheeldon opposite the crag with the sun pushing through.

Super area for walking, but above all the climbing is second to none.

High Wheeldon from Hurdlow.

Lovely old barn on the way out.
