Climb another day

Saturday was chosen for a trip into the Ogwen valley for a spot of climbing. However better judgement is always the hardest thing to make. Today is not a day for climbing.

The weather forecast was not on our side. So it was decided to sit it out in the Siob Cafe in Capel Curig till the weather abeited.

Kicking back with a spot of coffee. The Siob Cafe is a super spot to stop for breakfast. So breakfast consumed, it's off to Ogwen.

Plan of attack is Cneifion Arete, the weather has other plans. It's to wet and slushy to make an accent.

Idwal slabs ahead, looking inviting.

Super route, ordinary route at a nice diff. Dean and I climbed this route last year in the wet, the route went well even thou it was wet.

Off up the Devils Kitchen to look at some possible winter climbs for when the weather gets better.

Winter climb, the Devils Staircase.

So, after looking at possible winter routes we moved on into the snow above the staircase.

Day done, it off to grab a coffee.
